CASA Program Operations

While CASA of Contra Costa County’s office is physically closed in response to the COVID-19 California state of emergency, our dedicated staff and volunteers continue to perform their duties and serve youth in foster care.

Informational Sessions

Informational Sessions are being offered online. Register to attend.

Applications

We continue to accept and process volunteer applications.

Applicant Interviews

We are scheduling and conducting online (Zoom) interviews with volunteer applicants.

Volunteer Initial Training

We are currently offering afternoon and evening Volunteer Initial Training sessions online. Scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.

Advocacy

CASA volunteers are visiting children/youth virtually and in person (with health and safety guidelines), attending court hearings via Zoom, and providing advocacy throughout this time when it’s needed most.

CASA Therapy Project

Our Therapy Project program offering teletherapy to foster youth remains operational. We continue to accept foster youth referrals and match each youth with a licensed therapist. If you are a licensed mental health professional who would like to volunteer for the CASA Therapy Project, please email casatherapyproject@cccocasa.org
